Lewis A. Booth II has over 15 years of experience in the areas of Tax, Estates, Trusts, Probate, and Litigation.

Prior to forming Booth P.C., Lewis was the Managing Counsel (Head of the Office) for the Houston, TX IRS Office of Chief Counsel,(one of the largest IRS Attorney offices in the Country) and also was a senior Area manager supervising several offices in the Southwestern United States. 

Prior to management, Lewis was a Special Trial Attorney with the IRS Office of Chief Counsel, where he was lead counsel assigned to the most difficult and complex cases involving the Internal Revenue Service.  These cases included large Estate Tax Matters, Civil Fraud matters, Offshore and International taxation, Abusive Trusts, Transfer Pricing disputes, large partnerships and corporations, Individual Global High Wealth cases, and sophisticated Collection matters. Also, for over a decade Lewis was a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of Texas.  Lewis has litigated over 50 cases in his career to conclusion, has hundreds of substantial federal court appearances, and has negotiated all manner of settlements.

Lewis has a unique perspective regarding Taxes, Estates, Trusts, Probate, and Litigation.  Lewis’ experience is both broad and deep, from Billion-dollar matters involving estates to individuals with smaller, but no less important issues, Mr. Booth has intimate, first-hand knowledge and experience handling the most sophisticated Tax, Estate, Trust, and Probate matters and his experience will ensure that your matter is handled effectively and efficiently.  

Lewis is licensed to practice in Texas, and he is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Lewis is a 2010 graduate of the Southern University Law Center, where he was valedictorian of his graduating class and Editor-in-Chief of the Southern University Law Review.  In his free time, Lewis restores classic American Muscle Cars, including his 1978 Pontiac Trans Am, and his 1969 Pontiac GTO.
